Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to join our dynamic Operational Excellence Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements working alongside our legal department.
This role is crucial in enhancing our supply chain efficiency and supporting our claims management operations.
How you'll make an impact
- Procurement Strategy Implementation:
- Procurement strategies that align with organisational goals, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities, ensuring the procurement strategy remains competitive and adaptable to changes in the industry.
- Contract Management:
- Ensure compliance with contractual law and legal aspects of supplier contracts, safeguarding the organisation's interests and minimising risks, in conjunction with the Operational Excellence Team.
- Work with the Legal Team to review and negotiate contract terms to ensure favourable conditions for the organisation, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Sourcing and Purchasing:
- Manage sourcing and purchasing activities.
- Develop and maintain a supplier database, ensuring access to a diverse and reliable pool of vendors to meet organisational needs.
- Implement best practices io optimise cost savings and enhance supplier performance.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and develop engagement programs to champion collaboration.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with teams to streamline inventory processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Negotiation:
- Work with operational excellence team to identify weaknesses in current agreements and negotiate new terms as required, enhancing the organisation's position and securing favourable outcomes.
- Develop negotiation strategies that leverage market insights and organisational strengths, ensuring successful outcomes in supplier discussions.
- Governance:
- Improve the procurement framework, develop policies, and conduct audits to ensure compliance
- Modern Slavery:
- Contribute to the modern slavery statement process to develop initiatives to address risks, and monitor regulatory changes
- Business Continuity Planning:
- Support BCP strategies to ensure preparedness and resilience
- ESG/CSR Involvement:
- Participate in ESG and CSR initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders, and monitor performance
- Client Due Diligence Requests:
- Assist in responding to due diligence requests, maintain documentation, and provide insights into supply chain practices
About You
- Experience in supply chain management and procurement.
- Knowledge of insurance claims industry and supply chain is desirable.
- Relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage inventory and documentation effectively.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of business continuity planning and ESG/CSR initiatives is desirable.
