Overview

The Travel & Expense (T&E) Project Manager supports the Global Director of Travel & Expense Management with all projects involving SAP Concur Expense. This includes a multi-year deployment plan covering multiple countries as well as ongoing system updates to accommodate new business requirements. This role is responsible for the schedule, scope and quality of Gallagher’s SAP Concur Expense projects from initiation through deployment and eventual transition to production support.  The T&E Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of Concur while meeting the defined business and technical requirements. This role sits in the Corporate Sourcing department and works closely with the Corporate IT and Corporate Accounting departments throughout the entire project life cycle.


How you'll make an impact

  • Develop and maintain key project artifacts such as project plan, schedule, resource requirements, status updates, and monthly governance updates
  • Act as the leader to the project team guiding them toward meeting project objectives
  • Interface with business owners and SMEs to facilitate requirements gathering and UAT / change management during deployment phase
  • Communicate regularly with project sponsors on project progress, issues and mitigation
  • Actively participate in all project phases such as Requirements, Architecture, Design and Testing to provide guidance to the team
  • Proactively identify and champion opportunities to streamline business processes and mitigate potential project risks
  • Clarify scope, and recommend alternative solutions, to support project strategy and deliverable prioritization
  • Participate in multiple key initiatives simultaneously
  • Drive consensus among various stakeholders, including technology, management, and third parties 
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and manage acquisition on-boarding for Concur, coordinating with the IMO (Integration Management Office) and other key stakeholders including HR and IT

About You

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in Computer Science/Info Systems/MIS, Mathematics/Statistics; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Highly Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years project management experience
  • Experience with business project management, business processes, workflow, data flow and system integration projects
  • Proficient in project management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Expertise with change management as it relates to systems and operational changes
  • Available to occasionally join/lead project calls outside of normal working hours to accommodate global project stakeholder time zones
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance brokerage industry (desired)
  • Experience with implementing SAP Concur Expense (desired)
