Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) collaborates closely with the Regional HR Director to deliver strategic HR services that align with the organization's objectives. The HRBP must possess a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competitive landscape. This role supports a wide range of people-related issues, including employee relations, compensation, talent management, employee development, change management, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational development. Due to the regional scope of this position, some travel may be required.
How you'll make an impact
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with line management to provide HR guidance that aligns with business strategies and objectives.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR group to identify insights and develop solutions, programs, and policies based on data.
- Employee Relations: Lead and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations with appropriate involvement from the Regional HR Director and HR centers of excellence.
- Legal Compliance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed.
- Performance Management: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Workplace Improvement: Collaborate with the Regional HR Director, leaders, and employees to enhance work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Policy Guidance: Offer HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Organizational Development: Provide guidance and input on organizational restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning to ensure effective talent review and calibration.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching requirements. Participate in the evaluation, monitoring, and adoption of training programs and change management efforts to ensure success.
- Talent Acquisition: Partner with managers and the Gallagher Talent Acquisition team in recruiting efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Talent Management: Actively engage with the HR Leadership team and business leaders in talent management activities, including training, performance management, engagement, career development, and inclusion.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary contact and resource for employees and managers to address HR issues, questions, and concerns, while maintaining strong working relationships and building credibility.
- Project Management: Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timelines and schedules, organizing information, fulfilling transactions, communicating project status, and resolving concerns.

- Talent Review and Calibration: Facilitate talent review processes to assess and calibrate employee performance and potential, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
About You
Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
