Hours of Operation: Can vary depending on projects or assignments
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the HR department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Coordinates and manages onboarding of new employees; including set up of account, equipment, etc.
- Conducts new employee orientations
- Manages report requests for HR data
- Provides support with the Motivational events.
- Provides support with the annual Open Enrollment process and activities as needed.
- Assists in recruitment efforts when needed; and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees and interns.
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
- Helps to maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
- Special assignments and projects as requested.
- Maintains confidence and protects operations of business by keeping information confidential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism and initiative; strong customer service orientation and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Very strong problem-solving, data gathering and organizational skills; be detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple and competing priorities
- Accuracy, flexibility and the demonstrated ability to be pro-active and to prioritize tasks
- Discretion in dealing with highly confidential material
About You
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Relevant practical experience required, preferably working in a fast-paced office
- Experience in an HR office and/or in higher education strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HR database management strongly preferred
