We are seeking to recruit a Broker Support to join our team in Rome.  This position will provide support to Producers, Brokers and Technical Support colleagues in servicing our clients.

• Assess market security information on carriers, checking compliance and financial positions
• Build / Update marketing sheets for Broking Teamtracking reinsurers’ decisions
• Produce statistics, and information packs in support of the placement of a client’s reinsurance programme
• Manage and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers
• Management of special acceptances request  
• Liaise with Compliance / Sanctions Team on sanctions checks where touch points exist
• Effectively connect with various stakeholders, both internal and external   
• Work with Sales Team to ensure effective delivery of client service to clients
• Generate and issue evidence of cover, support creation of slips, endorsements and wordings
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timeframes about signing process of contractual documentation
• Support analysis of wordings and benchmarks of clauses
• Support creation of documents in PowerPoint and Word
• Checking files to ensure all information is present and accurate
• Ensure contract records are accurately maintained within transactional broking system
• Support the team in organising and planning meetings with client and reinsurers
• Regular contact with colleagues on technical support/contracts
• Ensure compliance with Gallagher policies and GEM (Gallagher Excellence Model) throughout the placement process
• Support the team in producing data for internal benchmarking, analysis and budgetary processes
• Maintain files in an orderly manner electronically, ensuring these are within GEM guidelines
  
  

• Previous experience within insurance / reinsurance is desirable but not essential, we will consider those with an interest in the industry.
• Degree in Law or Economics is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in Italian and English (written and verbal).
• Proficient in using MS Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good attention to detail.
• Collaborative and enjoys working as part of a team.
