Overview
To support the Artex Executive Committee, senior members of the business, central service functions, corporate parent stakeholders and appropriate third parties, by partnering with our business customers across Artex Captive and Commercial segment to identify, shape and facilitate delivery of fit for purpose solutions to meet business needs and drive measurable value to the organisation.
The role will exist to enable the successful delivery, standardisation of new business processes and change initiatives across the Business environment.
Required to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business, the Business Analyst will provide thought leadership and identify opportunities that will facilitate improved efficiency and successful delivery of Business and IT capability.
How you'll make an impact
Business Processes
Identify opportunities to standardise, streamline business processes, leveraging service centres (where appropriate) to improve efficiency
Review business processes to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks
Advise on opportunities to re-use existing business processes and exploit existing solutions across different regions/branches.
Manage and monitor daily operational processes for failure and ensure that any failures are resolved.
Business Systems
Drive business value through helping the business, identify, shape and embedded fit for purpose solutions
Assist our business customers with scoping out requirements and adopting new solutions in line with Artex standards and policies
Providing advice and support to Business in matters related to solutions design, delivery and implementation to ensure that change projects are delivered successfully.
Perform testing of new application program releases prior to production release
Promote re-use of existing solutions, use of standards and alignment with policy to reduce duplication of solutions design debt
Operational Support
Train service center and operations staff on relevant processes, procedures, and applications
Facilitate new starter on-boarding & induction training with regard to central Artex Systems and processes
Work closely with the technology team to help demonstrate the value of technology to the business
Manage conversions and implementations of new clients or new business for existing clients onto production systems and hand off documented procedures to client service teams
About You
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable
Business/Finance degree or relevant Professional Qualification e.g. Accounting, Insurance
Technical Knowledge
Expertise in documenting processes, procedures and controls
Experience of system, process implementation
Understanding of insurance related accounting processes, procedures and principles.
Broad knowledge of financial services and general insurance/reinsurance sector, its regulatory environment and financial crime, AML and data protection corporate governance practices
Experience and Skills
Strong analytical skills in terms of troubleshooting and problem solving
Able to clearly articulate a vision and translate this vision into actions
Excellent people management and influencing skills
Strong communicator
Strong sense of self, able to adapt and be flexible, willing to challenge constructively
Demonstrate high level ownership and accountability
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible to work in Guernsey [or where based if differs]
Ability to travel as required
This position will require collaboration with teams in multiple time zones and therefore may require the candidate to work extended /non-core hours from time to time.
